What an amazing show Sunday night! It’s no wonder I always eagerly anticipate Wrestlemania each year.
Well, let’s now review the predictions that I had made a number of hours prior to Wrestlemania. I actually didn’t do too bad this year:
1. Rhonda Rousey/Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon/Triple H
CALLED IT! I actually surprised myself with this one – even right down to Rousey making Stephanie submit – which ultimately gave Rousey and Angle the win. Winner: Rousey/Angle.
2. John Cena vs. Undertaker
CALLED IT! I was right again. But, now some folks are not going to like what I have to say here, but I knew 100% that Undertaker was going to win the very moment I clearly saw John Cena kick out at the Undertaker and he MISSED – but yet Undertaker went down. That was purely choreographed – and most likely for the reason I mentioned in my prediction: it was to make a “comeback” for the Undertaker. Winner: The Undertaker.
3. Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax
CALLED IT! Nia Jax was ruthless with Alexa Bliss in that match – and for good reason. Another great win. Winner: Nia Jax.
4. Charlotte vs. Asuka
CALLED IT! Although I have to admit that I thought that perhaps I was wrong with the initial prediction when Asuka came out to the ring. She made quite the grand entrance and I remember thinking, “Oh – something going on here. I guess she will likely win.” But, I was right originally. Winner: Charlotte.
5. Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn
CALLED IT! That was an awesome match! And again I thought that perhaps my prediction was wrong because Owens and Zayn did have the upper hand for quite some time. I was also worried when I saw Bryan laying out there and them bringing out the stretcher. But! Daniel somehow found the strength and he made a huge comeback … and ultimately got the win! Winner: Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon.
6. Rusev vs. Bobby Roode vs. Randy Orton vs. Jinder Mahal
FAIL! Whoops! Well I guess there goes my own “winning streak” huh? LOL! Winner: Jinder Mahal.
7. Shaemus/Cesaro vs. Braun Strowman/???
CALLED IT! And wow – I totally understand why I was thinking that Braun would be trying to do it alone. He essentially did! He picked a little boy out from the crowd as his partner … on one hand I thought that was the cutest thing ever – but on the other hand I felt horrible for the wee boy having to stand there at the ring. I have a funny feeling that we’re going to likely see and/or hear more of this little boy – who is now a tag team champ LOL! Winner: Braun Strowman.
8. Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns
CALLED IT! But wow wow wow!!! I think it’s safe to say that I was in just as much shock and concern over Roman as everyone else. The amount of blood was unreal. I knew I said that the match wasn’t going to be a pretty one, but I definitely didn’t realize just how nasty it was going to get. Winner: Brock Lesnar.
9. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles
FAIL! I thought for sure that Shinsuke was going to be the winner – mainly due to again his grand entrance with Alice Cooper’s guitarist. But, I was wrong again! Winner: AJ Styles.
10. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor vs. The Miz
CALLED IT! No comments here other than I’m happy with the outcome. Winner: Seth Rollins.
11. New Day vs. Usos vs. Bludgeon Brothers
CALLED IT! Yuck! I was actually praying that my prediction here was going to be a fail, but as it turned out it was accurate. Winners: Bludgeon Brothers.
12. Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
CALLED IT! I impressed myself with this prediction for two reasons: the amount of participants I had to choose from, and just how close I actually was in choosing the winner. Remember I chose 2 names: Baron Corbin and Matt Hardy, but felt that Matt would take it because I had a feeling whoever got the win would have a lot of years in the WWE. Well that was close because it did indeed come down to those two at the very last. Winner: Matt Hardy.
13. Women’s Battle Royal
FAIL! Well that was actually a huge fail LOL! I thought for sure one of my two picks would have gotten the win, but nope! Winner: Naomi.
14. Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali
CALLED IT! Well I impressed myself again because I literally was going into that prediction blind. I just basically chose the first name that went into my head. Winner: Cedric Alexander.
So out of all the predictions, I got 11 out of 14 correct. That’s not too bad – and I seem to be getting better at this each year (I remember my first year doing it I literally only had maybe half of the predictions right lol!).
So that’s it for another year. Maybe next year, seeing as my accuracy in this fun game seems to be getting better each time, maybe I’ll get them all LOL! Yeah right … watch the ego there Lisa … this was just all in fun.
Take care everyone and many bright blessings of love and light to all.
