The word “Astral” is derived from the Greek for “Star” and originally described the Heavens of the Greek Gods… Astral traveling is a magnificent feeling…. though before you do anything – get yourself comfortable and make sure you are grounded and protected…. You can astral travel when you are resting, about to go to sleep, when you are asleep or during meditation…. people do and have reported the feeling of floating above their bodies – during astral travel, many people meet with their spirit guide… others may decide to experiment with a friend and meet up with them….
This is a little technique I learnt along the way – during astral travel, visualize a white cord between your psychical body and your astral body…. this way you know you are safe. From my own personal experience – I know when I have astralled… and I also know who accompanies me 99% of the time… my beloved mum and funnily enough the first place we always go to – is the stars … now in reality we all see stars as white or glittering in the sky – but when I am astral traveling and get to the stars with my mum – they are absolutely beautiful; so many colours for example, blue, pink, red, green, orange, yellow, lilac, purple and silver – so actually thinking about it now… I would say what I see is the colours of our chakras in the stars and the feelings of floating or flying for the want of a better word is magnificent.
Some people are afraid to “Let go” and this is understandable because of “Fear” however I can assure you from my own personal experience – astral travel is completely safe – for me as long as I have visualized that white cord or string between my physical body and my astral body. The feelings of “Freedom” is almost un-word-able and you can go to any place you set your mind too – remember – you are always in control – this is very important….
If you have never done astral travel before – please do take things easy and learn to do it bit by bit – don’t rush as it is a learning process just like anything else in this world….
I also personally believe I have been astralling from a very young age – as I can remember an experience I had which entailed myself going and travelling to “Caves” – please note – we do not – nor have ever had “Caves” anywhere near where we lived and I know for certain it wasn’t a dream… so throughout the years I have found myself questioning this experience as I remember the “Caves” and inside them… they were very cold and the colours inside were like a Red/Brown colour… when I was having this experience I don’t recall having any “Fear” at all and when I woke the next morning everything was so vivid to me – still is to this day!! I didn’t know what happened back then but over the years I can only come up with the solution that I did astral and when I woke my bedroom light was on!!!! And I was tired in myself (which is how I know also I’ve been astralling)…
Astralling is an amazing experience… one though that you need to learn and don’t knock yourself if it doesn’t happen – in time as you relax more – it will …. or if you think back to your childhood – maybe you had an experience like me??
OBE stand for “Out of Body Experience” and this happens a lot to people going under Anesthetic or while under already… people have reported (almost like astralling) floating above their body’s and watching/seeing what the doctors were doing… and when they have gone through whatever procedure they were having done … these people were/are able to tell their story… I personally have feel an OBE experience happens when your body is in crisis or if you have had a shock and are devastated by the loss of a loved one… I know this has happened to me when I lost my beloved mum… just a few days after mum passing, I was laying on my bed… crying because I was heartbroken and as I lay there – I could feel this strange sensation – a feeling of almost being pulled out of my own body – this did scare me at the time – and I can remember shouting “No! I’m not ready for this!” so could feel myself going back to normal – which brings me to think – “What would’ve happened if I had’ve let go?” “Where would I have went too?” “Would I have also passed on?” because I could feel a slipping away feeling….
I also believe when people are about to pass… they too have “Out of body experiences” and see themselves laying on a bed – may it be in the hospital or at home… and also see their loved ones who have already passed on, waiting for them, to welcome them and help them on their journey home… my belief is that person passing over does stand and be aware of who/whom is around them at the time and whilst writing this I am getting a visual of when my beloved mum was passing and can now see my mum back then…. basically shouting for us as a family not to be crying as she was finally “Free” however because of being in shock and devastated none of us could hear this at the time….
